Sea Fishing
South West
South West Beach Marks
East Portlemouth,
Devon
Site Title

The golden sands of East Portlemouth are situated in the Salcombe estuary in South Devon.
There is some great fishing to be had targeting Plaice & Ray
Tackle
Beach rods capable of casting 5- 6oz are required, reels such as the Daiwa Saltist range loaded with 18-20lb mainline & 60lb leader will suffice.
Pulley or drop down pulley rigs are perfect for this venue when targeting the Ray. Long up and over rigs terminating in either a single hook or whisbone set up for the Plaice. Leads should ideally be 5-6oz either plain or grip weights depending on the tide pull.
Bait
Live Prawns for the Ray for the Ray. Blow Lug & Rag worm for the Plaice. Try tipping your worm bait with a long strip of squid.
