"The Chair" is a know mark for Small Eyed & Spotted Ray, I have had my best results here after a strong South Westerly blow when the water is coloured and the sea is dying off.
1 hour before high water and 3 hours back tends to fish.
Weed can sometimes be a problem here.
Try casting 1 rod across the bay & 1 out to sea.
Tackle
Beach rods capable of casting 5- 6oz are required, reels such as the Daiwa Saltist range loaded with 18-20lb mainline & 60lb leader will suffice.
Pulley or drop down pulley rigs are perfect for this venue, leads should ideally be 5-6oz either plain or grip weights.
Bait
Sand eels either live or frozen ( Blue Ammo eels are the perfect size)
for the Ray.
